  • Arrange A Baptism

    Baptism at St. Michael’s

The baptism of a child is a beautiful beginning in faith, and it starts with the active participation of at least one parent in the Catholic Church. Parents must be registered members of St. Michael’s to schedule a baptism here.

If you live outside the parish boundaries but wish to have your child baptized at St. Michael’s, you must be registered at a parish in your home area and provide a letter of permission from your pastor allowing the baptism to take place at St. Michael’s.

First-time parents are required to attend a baptism preparation session with the pastor before a baptism can be scheduled. This session explains the meaning of the sacrament, the ritual itself, and the responsibilities of Catholic parenting. The session will be arranged at a mutually convenient time.

To begin the process or schedule a baptism, please contact the parish office.

Please note: Baptisms are not typically celebrated during the season of Lent.

  • Arrange a Funeral Mass

Planning a Funeral at St. Michael’s

When a loved one passes away and you wish to hold a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael’s, please contact both the funeral home and the parish office as soon as possible.

The secretary will help coordinate the time and location of the wake and funeral Mass, while the funeral home will handle other arrangements. Music for the liturgy is normally arranged through the funeral home.

If desired, St. Michael’s Ladies Guild graciously offers to provide a funeral luncheon in the Rosman Center following the service. Families are also welcome to have it catered themselve or work with the funeral home to make arrangements.

We are here to support you with prayer, compassion, and guidance during this difficult time.

  • What should I wear?

What Should I Wear to Mass?

We want you to feel comfortable when you join us—we're just glad you're here! Some people come in sandals and shorts during the summer, while others prefer to dress in their “Sunday best.” Either way, we want you to feel at home and focus on the worship, not the wardrobe. Come as you are!
