Liturgical Ministries

Mass Servers
Boys and girls from fourth grade through high school are invited to be Mass servers. Altar servers primarily assist at weekend Masses. Occasionally they are needed to serve a funeral or a wedding. Training usually takes place in the fall. Each spring they are given a recognition dinner in thanks for their service.
Eucharistic Minister
Anyone who has been confirmed and is in good sacramental standing in the Church is invited to be a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion. Communion is generally offered under both species.
Lectors
Any one who as been confirmed and is in good sacramental standing in the Church invited to become a lector. Lectors proclaim the Scripture and read the prayers of the faithful at weekend Masses and on Holy Days of Obligation.
Musicians and Singers
Instrumentalists and singers are welcome to join Music Ministry at any time. Church, Wind and Fire is the contemporary worship band and is always looking for new members. The Sparks Children's choir sings occasionally and welcomes boys and girls from K-5th grade. The Flames is the older youth choir and sings with the worship band, Solo cantors are also needed.
Ushers
Anyone 16 and up is invited to serve as an usher. The ushers help with greeting people, especially any who are visiting and may need assistance. The ushers also help with taking up the collection and with distributing bulletins at the end of Mass. Ushers undergo special training in security and church environment safety.
